This post comes from our Sakroots Designer, Katie Hall!
Occupation: Designer for Sakroots. I've been with the company for six and a half years! I design and conceptualize the handbags, mini-bags, wallets and wristlets, and tech and travel accessories.
Where I Find Inspiration: From a variety of different places…just living in NYC is a never ending dose of inspiration! I love how the people embrace their look and tend to cultivate a personal aesthetic and signature style. Traveling the world is another great way to get inspired.
What's In My Bag: I'm currently training for the NYC Marathon (my seventh marathon!), so my bag has to pull double duty as a handbag & a running gear tote. The Campus Tote is my all time fave tote because I can fit all my necessities inside.
Adidas Adizero Boosts - Shoes are the foundation of my running gear. The brighter the better, in my book! Loving these fluorescent kicks.
Lululemon Hat - A girl's gotta watch out for wrinkles, right? As I get a little older and the miles get longer, I really try to protect my skin and either rock a hat or visor to block out some of the rays.
Nuun Energy Tabs - For a little kick in the afternoon, also great to freshen up my water!
Band-Aids - I always carry these with me, you never know when a surprise blister will show up.
Nike Sunglasses - Speaking of a signature look, I always rock the sunglasses on race day.
Sakroots Slim Wallet - Absolutely one of my favorites. I can fit my life in this wallet but it's still nice and slim. Even fits my iPhone!
Smartwatch - Keeps me on time and also helps me track my miles and pace.
"Shut Up & Run" by Robin Arzon - I'm absolutely inspired by Robin's story. Even if you're not a marathoner, this book is a quick dose of motivation I think anyone could relate to. Check it out!
